Evolis Technical Updates
New Windows printer driver available
IDSuperShop recommends all Evolis printer users download the latest driver if you are using a Windows computer. A printer driver is software used by an operating system to manage printer. For Microsoft Windows® environment, Evolis printers are managed by software suite (driver and software) named Evolis Premium Suite or Evolis Premium Suite 2. As part of its continuous improvement policy, Evolis has developed new driver which included new fixes and improvement.
The latest release of software suites has been published in February 2023 on the Evolis website. In addition to the setup file, Evolis publishes a history file which includes all improvement details about the current version. We recommend updating Software Suite to take full advantage of the latest improvements:
Evolis Premium Suite – version 6.36.0.1701 (for most Evolis printers)
Evolis Premium Suite 2 – version 7.1.4.13068 (for Primacy 2 only)
Many technical issues with your Evolis printer can be solved by upgrading to the latest firmware and driver. If you have any questions as to whether you have the right driver and firmware working together you can review our Evolis Driver Compatibility Chart.

New SDK version 1.2.2 publication
IDSuperShop supports a wide variety of applications that use card printers for issuing custom printed identification. This includes schools, districts, non profits, government entities, contractors, hospitals and healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants and corporations of all sizes. In some cases, we partner with technology companies that build software that can work with the Evolis card printers through an SDK.
As part of its continuous improvement policy, Evolis has made changes to the SDK that include new fixes that assure the uninterrupted workflow while printing a series of cards. This new version (1.2.2) has been published in January 2023. We recommend using the new version of the SDK to take full advantage of the latest improvements. If you have questions about using an SDK for a large application we recommend you contact our custom solutions team.
NEW SPARE PART PRICE LIST
IDSuperShop is an authorized service provide for Evolis printers. With our status as a Platinum Partner we have the ability to order spare parts to keep customers up and running with their card printers. In most cases these parts are purchased for inhouse repairs which can be set up through our service department. We offer a 1 week turnaround on most repairs and in some cases they are able to be completed in as little as 24-48 hours.
