Credential Cam Photo ID Cameras
At IDSuperShop, we carry the most popular varieties of credential ID cameras designed for photo identification. Choose reliable, high-quality digital cameras with direct connection to ID software using TWAIN and WIA drivers. For entry level applications, the Credential Cam is the most popular option with drivers that connect to almost any ID Software. For mid level applications, the Credential Cam Pro and ValCam Zoom meet higher expectations for image quality by incorporating lighting to the image capture process. For high end applications where users regularly have greater distance from the individual in photo, the ValCam PTZ camera is the most popular for government and law enforcement customers.
Credential ID cameras are designed for straightforward installation with Windows drivers that are compatible with existing systems that use Asure ID 7 software and most other popular ID card applications. Similar to DMV style systems, these cameras ensure a smooth production process for organizations in every sector.
Credential Cam Pro Photo ID Camera
The Credential Cam Pro Photo ID Camera was designed with flexibility in mind. Because Credential Cam Pro is USB based, there is no need for a frame grabber. Instead, a single USB cable provides power, video frames, control, and data transfer – all at your fingertips on your PC.
The Credential Cam Pro viewer can operate this camera without the need for any third party software. It will auto recognize that the camera is plugged in and will show the corresponding controls and features for the camera.
- A TWAIN driver is included with the Credential Cam Pro.
- Synchronized USB powered LED flash for consistent high-quality images in any environment.
This fixed lens camera can utilize any CS mount lens. The lens may be changed out for a more optimal focus length. Varifocal lenses allow a wider range of focal lengths within one lens.

Transition From Webcam Photo ID Cameras
For years, customers have relied on digital webcams for photo ID production. These low cost, low resolution cameras are easy to source and get the job done for many applications where the image quality on the ID badge is not a high priority.
As higher resolution card printers have entered the market, including 600 dpi retransfer printers, the low quality images of webcams have become less desirable. With the release of newer credential ID cameras designed for badging applications, the combination of easy to use software, instant image capture and improved lighting features, this brings significant changes with improved performance for high volume ID badge applications.
IDSuperShop plays a vital role in supporting this transition, offering expert advice and support to help customers navigate these upgrades smoothly. We ensure you can leverage the advanced features and benefits of the new credential ID cameras when used with Asure ID 7 software along with most other ID applications.
