IDP Smart 51s & 31s Color Ribbons
With the use of IDP’s Genuine color ribbons, the SMART printers produce industry leading image quality for 51s and 31s series. Color images are composed with three primary colors (yellow, magenta, and cyan) which can create up to 16.7 million colors. IDP’s FINE™ image technology makes it possible to optimize these colors to meet the strictest of corporate identity’s color requirements.
IDP Full Color Ribbons produce durable and tamper resistant cards with crisp 300 dpi images – even on the surface of technology cards. Smart 51s and 31s card printers use the same ribbons for printing color badges.

Smart 51s & 31s Monochrome Ribbons
Monochrome Resin Ribbons allow for bar codes, text, serial numbers, bold graphics on the front and back of the card with high volume prints per roll.

Smart 81s Color Ribbons
IDP’s WISE retransfer printer offers full-bleed color printing, sometimes known as high-definition or over-the-edge printing technology. Color images are composed with three primary colors (yellow, magenta, and cyan) which can create up to 16.7 million colors. IDP’s WISE color ribbons are manufactured to the highest of quality standards to produce one of the industry’s best quality images.

Smart 81s Laminate Rolls
Applying a laminate to your cards not only improves card durability and longevity; with an optional holographic design, overlaminates can also significantly increase card security. Laminates with standard or custom holograms create an ID card that is difficult to forge, yet easy to verify.
Laminate for the IDP Smart 81s Printer with Lamination are available in clear, standard holographic design or custom holographic design with the following specifications to protect your printed ID cards.

IDP Card Printer Ribbons
For years, customers have relied IDSuperShop for guidance on printing professional looking custom photo ID cards. Depending on the overall size of your application, the frequency of issuing additional cards and whether any security features are needed, the choice may be easy to figure out what’s right for your organization.
Most of IDP’s color ribbons also offer a true resin black (K) panel as well as a durable varnish (O) panel. The K panel is used for text or barcodes and the O panel washes over the full card to protect against dye-migration, fading, and scratches. To further increase your cards’ durability, we recommend laminating your cards with the SMART-51L, or -81L laminating printers.
IDP’s SMART printers offer a ribbons saver or “partial printing” mode that when turned on will demand the printer to use only the amount of ink necessary to print the data on the card and not advance the ribbon a full card width. In some cases, this feature can almost double the number of printed cards from a single roll of ink. Using only IDP’s Genuine color ribbons is essential to the quality of your printed cards and maintaining the long life of your printer.
