– HID Global will be discontinuing sales of their ID neck lanyards and ID badge accessories beginning May 15, 2014. Discontinued items will continue to be available for purchase while supplies last.
– Several consumables for legacy HID Global Fargo ID card printers will be discontinued, beginning May 15, 2014. The affected items will remain available for purchase while supplies last, through May 14, 2014.
– Prices on legacy Fargo ID card printer consumables will be increased, beginning May 15, 2014.
– The previously discontinued HID Global Fargo item #82602: 1.0 mil UV Resistant PolyGuard ID card overlaminate, is being reactivated effective immediately due to an increased demand for ID card protections against harsh sunlight and UV exposure.
– The previously discontinued HID Global Fargo item #82655: 1.0 mil PolyGuard ID card overlaminate with Large IC Chip Cutout, is being reactivated effective immediately due to an increased demand for ID cards with IC chip technology, such as HID Crescendo cards.
– HID Global Fargo will be discontinuing item #81784: 125 Image PolyGuard overlaminate for legacy Fargo ID card printers effective immediately and the product will only be available for order while supplies last. HID Global Fargo item #81789 is a comparable substitute.
– The shade of green used by HID Global for their green resin ID card printer ribbons will change from Pantone® Matching System (PMS) color shade 334 to color shade 347, starting in March 2014. This will result in a slight change in the color of green which will be printed when HID Global Fargo ID card printer ribbons manufactured after March 2014 are used. HID Global estimates that the current green ribbon, PMS 334 will continue to be available for distribution for the few months following this production changeover, but it is not guaranteed.
