New Evolis ID Card Printer Ribbon Capacity
As part of their environmental policy, Evolis has sought to reduce the impact associated with Evolis ID card printer ribbons, and IDSuperShop is excited to announce their following 2 solutions:
1. New Material For Evolis ID Card Printer Ribbon Cartridges:
The polystyrene that ID card printer ribbon cartridges are usually made of has been totally replaced in these new ID card printer ribbons with a more eco-friendly substance: regenerated polystyrene, which is both recycled and recyclable! The polyoxymethylene (POM) ribbon cartridge cores have remained unchanged, because they allow for a friction-free operation, which is necessary for achieving the desired print quality, and although POM is not made of recycled materials, it is recyclable.
2. Increased Ribbon Capacity:
Evolis has increased the capacity of 5-panel color YMCKO ID card printer ribbons for Zenius and Primacy ID card printers.
-The Zenius ID card printer color ribbon has increased from 100 to 200 images per ribbon (50% increase).
-The Primacy ID card printer color ribbon has increased from 250 to 300 images per ribbon (+20% increase).
As a result of this update, for the same number of images, fewer ID card printer ribbons will need to be transported, thereby reducing carbon emissions related to transportation, while also reducing costs.
New Half Panel YMCKOKO Evolis ID Card Printer Ribbon
Starting from today, the new half-panel YMCKOKO ID card printer ribbon is available for Evolis Primacy and Elypso ID card printers.
The half-panel YMCKOKO ribbon is ideal for ID card printing applications which only need to personalize one section of an ID card in full color with the rest of the card printed in black resin (text, logo, barcode, etc), such as an ID photograph.
The new Primacy & Elypso half-panel ribbon has the same specifications as standard Evolis ID card printer full panel YMCKO color ribbons, except that its Yellow, Magenta and Cyan panels are half the length.
The advantages of using half-panel ribbons instead of full-panel ones is that if you don’t need to print a full card in color, you can save money and resources by using just what you need. Evolis Primacy and Elypso ID card printer half-panel ribbons are compatible with PVC, Composite PVC and PETF ID card materials.
New Evolis Black Matte ID Cards
Starting from today, new matte black ID cards in PVC-U are available from Evolis. The new matte black PVC-U ID cards are high-quality and durable. They don’t have laminated layers on the front or the back, and instead are made of a rough black PVC material. PVC-U ID cards are food contact compliant and safe.
Black PVC-U ID cards are ideal for applications that want to make an impressive visual statement, such as membership and loyalty ID cards, as color and metallic inks printed on the matte black ID card surface will stand out. Print in monochrome white, silver or gold for the best results.
Evolis’ new matte black PVC-U ID cards are compatible with all Evolis ID card printers except the Tattoo Rewrite (RW), which only uses special rewrite ID cards. PVC-U ID cards are compatible with all Evolis monochrome ID card printer ribbons.
New Evolis Encoder
In October 2013, Evolis will be introducing the HID Vericlass® encoder, a new dual encoder for contact and contactless smart cards.
The HID Vericlass® option was specially developed for Evolis Zenius, Primacy and Elypso ID card printers to integrate solutions using HID iCLASS® ID cards.
