HID Global Fargo Holographic HDP ID Card Films add extra security to your ID cards, with High-Definition-Printing (HDP) technology, that prints ID card data onto an HDP film which is securely fused to the ID card surface. This process makes it very difficult to remove or corrupt ID card data. Attempts to manipulate ID cards printed with HDP technology result in such damage to an ID card that it cannot be repaired or re-used. Any counterfeit tampering with HDP ID card films is immediately apparent.
Direct-To-Card (DTC) ID card printing technology prints ID card data directly onto the ID card surface and cards can be laminated using a polyester patch or thin film placed on top. DTC printed ID cards are not as secure as HDP printed cards, as they are more susceptible to counterfeit activities. DTC overlaminates do have the potential to be tampered with and card info to be altered.
