eMedia CS Professional has all the graphic tools you will need to create beautiful ID card designs without the need for a designer. eMedia CS offers many alternatives when it comes to designing your ID cards: background image, logo, picture, texts, shapes (rectangle, lines, and circles), cliparts and more, and when it comes to barcodes you can use one of the 15 available options, in a format which will be compatible with your barcode scanners.
With eMedia CS Professional edition it’s easy to encode magnetic stripes on your magnetic name badges and ID cards using a dedicated step-by-step wizard that helps you from start to finish. Also encodes Smart electronic chips. For contactless chip encoding use the eMedia software Expert version.
The new ‘Supervision’ feature lets you take pictures using your Digital ID webcam and automatically links these photos to your ID badge design, saving you from having to search through your computer’s hard drive for them.
As you usually design an ID badge once and then only edit the data on it, eMedia CS offers two separate modes: Design mode and Issuance mode. Once you have designed your badge the Issuance Mode removes all design options in order to focus on card issuance options only. eMedia CS Design Mode offers layers for managing ID badge design. This feature, which is usually found in graphic design software separates each content object into a separate layer so that you can order your content the way you want, bringing texts to front or sending images to the back. Combined with transparency parameters, this allows for the easy creation of advanced and professional ID cards.
Linking your badge design to your database enables you to automatically populate the badge with data such as first name, surname and identification number. A simple click allows you to jump to the next entry in the database and with the What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get print preview you can instantly see on your screen the badge as it will look like once its printed. If your organization uses another type of database or if you wish to share common data between different e-Media CS users, Emedia CS PRO version software offers compatibility with any standard database (‘Microsoft™ Access, Excel, SQL Server, Oracle, ODBC and OLEDB driver).
