Protecting Your ID Card System From Heart Bleed

IDSuperShop would like to bring to the attention of our customers a serious computer glitch currently moving throughout the Web called Heart Bleed, which has the ability to compromise the security of user’s passwords and private information if they are contained on websites using OpenSSL technology for security and data encryption. www.IDSuperShop.com remains safe from the Heart Bleed bug, and security is our business, so ensuring you and your personal information remain safe is something that is always important to us! We appreciate your trust in doing business with IDSuperShop.

To keep your network and ID card systems safe and secure, IDSuperShop recommends anyone still using the unprotected Windows XP operating system upgrade at this time to Windows versions 7 or 8. Please note that transitioning to a newer operating system may require the upgrading of your ID card printers and/or photo ID software as well, as older generation ID badge printers may not have drivers for current versions of Windows operating systems.

Microsoft ended their support of Windows XP April 8, 2014, and users of Windows XP operating systems are no longer provided with security updates and bug fixes, so though the Heart Bleed flaw is not targeting Windows XP operating systems specifically, networks and computers which run on the XP platform remain at risk to attack by this bug. Networks containing even just one machine running on Windows XP have already shown to be easily compromised by Heart Bleed.

Contact us today with any questions about the Heart Bleed bug and to learn if your ID card system could be better protected if upgraded. We provide excellent customer service! 877-943-7467.
