Zebra TrueColours monochrome resin ribbons use thermal transfer printing technology, a process where a heated printhead is used to transfer a digitized image from the ribbon to the surface of the card.
Black monochrome ribbons are primarily used for printing text and one-color line art on one or both sides of a card.
Note: Black resin is needed to print readable barcodes.
