Scanshell 1000 is the ideal Passport Scanner for scanning images from passports and driver licenses as well as Bank Checks, ID Cards and Photos. Scanshell 1000 integrates seamlessly into corporate and government security communities and USA PATRIOT ACT compliance programs.
Scanshell 1000’s flatbed CIS (contact image sensor) design provides a Passport Scanner system capable of 24 bit color, 8 bit grayscale and black and white scanning of documents up to 5 x 3 in. (127 x 76mm). The optical resolution of the Scanshell 1000 can achieve up to 600 dpi, and typical scanning time for documents (single sided, gray-tone, 200dpi) is 3-5 seconds. The scanner is designed to connect to any Windows-based PC system with USB port, and works with TWAIN compatible software.
